Wrestling Season Begins
The 2009-10 season starts on Monday, November 16th with the Indians ranked 7th in the state by www.michigangrappler.com in division 2. With four indians ranked in the pre-seaon the future could be promising for the 2010 squad. Leading the way is #1 ranked heavyweight Kyle Connors as he earned all state honors last year by placing 4th at hwt. Junior Collin Lesko is ranked 4th at 119 as he was one point away from making the podium at the palace last year. Junior Jeff Jenkins enters as the 4th ranked 130 pound wrestlers after some impressive wins last year. And Senior Sam Million is ranked 9th at 135 coming off a strong junior season that saw a county championship and county lower weight MVP honors. The indians have several returning starters and new comers to the program that will be exciting to watch develop throughout the year, but replacing seven starters off last seasons team will be a tough task as the schedule has gotten stronger and looking to improve off last years 25-7 record.
