The Firebird volleyball team captured the Sectional championship by defeating Beavercreek 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-23)
Freshman Brooke Westbeld led the offense with 35 assists. During this match she broke the school record for assists in a season getting her 646th assist for the year.
Megan Hageman and Staci Bennett led the offense with 15 and 13 kills respectively.
Cheyenne Jones and Kara Manzo led the defense with 10 and 7 digs, while Melanie Hageman, Chelsea Welch, and Claire Becker led the team in blocking with 2 a piece.
The Firebirds will now move on to the District finals playing Mt. Notre Dame on Saturday at 3:30 at Springboro HS.
