(Kettering) - The Lady Firebird hoopsters began their home schedule with a dominating 68-21 win over Miamisburg on Wednesday night. Danie Shafer and Chelsea Welch led the scoring with 12 points apiece, while Makayla Waterman and Kathryn Westbeld registered 11 points each.

 

Welch also tacked on seven assists and five steals; Waterman recorded 11 rebounds, six assists, and five steals; and Westbeld posted eight rebounds, five blocks, and four steals in the win.

The girls, who are 4-0 on the young season, will have a week to prepare for their next game against Greenville at Trent Arena next Wednesday.
