Congratulations to Sam Wheeler for winning the Bill Dies Memorial wrestling tournament and being voted outstanding wrestler for the entire event. The Indians finished in 11th place at this tournament. Also placing for the Indians was Josh Tomayko(6th) Matt Nedolast (8th) and Zach Walker (8th) This is Sam's third outstanding wrestler award this season (Normandy, Southview, Dies) In addition to Sam being named Beacon Journal Athlete of the week, he will also be named Sportsink.com student athlete of the week. Also, a special congratulations goes out to Josh Tomayko for earning Copley-Fairlawn city school district athlete of the month for December. Josh earned his 100th career victory and set the school record for career pins in December and will be recognized in the February Board of education meeting.
