Melissa Dickie worked 9 scoreless innings and Lexi Overstreet drove in the only run of the game with a 9th inning sac. fly to give the Lady Wolves a hard fought 1-0 victory over a tough Calhoun Lady Yellow Jacket team on a wet Friday night in Columbus.

 

The 1st and 2nd state ranked teams battled all night before the Wolves were able to plate a run in the top of the 9th and hold off a fierce rally by Calhoun in the bottom of the 9th to take the win.  Buford will meet the winner of the Calhoun - S.E. Bulloch game for the State Championship Saturday at 12:15.
