Coach Eager enters his fifth season coaching girls soccer at Buford, and 13th season overall.  He is very excited at the potential that the girls have to get back to state.  He is from Dahlonega, Georgia .  He is married to the former Christy Beth Johnston of Lithia Springs and they have two children.

Coach Eager is a social studies teacher at Buford High.  Coach Eager received his undergraduate degree in social studies and a minor in secondary education from Erskine College , South Carolina in 2000.  Coach Eager has recently completed a master's in education with an emphasis on technology in curriculum from University of Phoenix in 2006. 

Coach Eager has been playing soccer for the past 25 years.  He was awarded a soccer scholarship in 1996 to Erskine College , CVAC member and DII School .  While playing for Erskine, Coach Eager started more than 75 games in four years.  Coach Eager has been a head coach for Dawson County and Madison County before coming to Buford.

Coach Contreras enters her eleventh year of coaching the Lady Wolves.  She has been part of the program since the spring of 2003, when JV girls program began.  After her first year with JV, she moved down to BMS where she started up the middle school soccer program in the spring of 2004.  While at BMS, she was the head coach of the girls program for two seasons, before making her way back up to BHS to assist with the Varsity program.  She has helped the Lady Wolves make it to the State Tournament and was part of the success of the past two Final Four seasons.

She looks forward to a new day of Buford soccer where she feels confident that the tradition and excellence of soccer will continue under the leadership of Head Coach, Drew Eager as well as the experience of having an additional Assistant in Coach Crystal Fowler. 

Coach Contreras is married to Raymond Contreras, and they have 3 children.  Raymond Contreras III, a 2008 graduate of Buford High School where he was a four year letterman in soccer and is currently attending Gainesville State College.  Robert Contreras is currently a Senior at Buford High School and the youngest; Emma is 7 and attends Buford Elementary School.  Coach Contreras works at our District Office where she is the Student Information System Coordinator for Buford City Schools.

Coach Fowler enters her fifth year at Buford High School. Prior to joining the Wolves, she built the C.W. Davis Middle School girls soccer program into a Hall County powerhouse. The Falcons were 49-4-3 under coach Fowler, including three Hall County championship game appearances in which they won two titles. She also led the cross country team to a Hall County championship.

Coach Fowler was an outstanding athlete in high school, earning varsity letters in softball, basketball, track and soccer. Coach Fowler was a member of a softball state championship team and also won state titles in the 100 meter dash and 400 meter relay team.

Coach Fowler earned her undergraduate degree in art education at the University of West Georgia.  Coach Fowler teaches high school art.  She is married to Jonathan Fowler and they have a daughter named Mia.

Coach Schmidt enters her fifth season coaching at Buford Middle School.   Last year was a very exciting season, where the players learned what it means to play Buford Soccer. 

She is married to Paul Schmidt and they have three children.  Andrew a 2004 Buford High School Graduate, who currently attends North Georgia College, Jessica, a 2007 Buford High School Graduate who currently attends Georgia College ad State University and Ann, the youngest is a current Junior at Buford High School and is a starter on the Women's Varstiy Soccer squad.  

Coach Schmidt received her bachelor’s degree in education at The University of Missouri – St. Louis. She is a special education teacher on the sixth grade team at Buford Middle School.

Coach Schmidt played soccer for 15 years in the Midwest where she grew up.  While playing she competed for the U18 United State Soccer Federation National title twice.  Locally, she has coached and volunteered at Atlanta Fire United Soccer Club. She has supported the program from the beginning, her daughter Jessica played on the first girl’s team at Buford High School.
