The Wolves dropped their first region game Tuesday night, 11-1 at Blessed Trinity. Buford is now 10-1 in region play and tied with Lovett for the top spot in the region, just 1 game ahead of Blessed Trinity.
Rain delayed the 5:55 start to 6:45 and another rain delay in the 1st inning delayed the game another hour before resuming for good around 7:45.
Buford scored 1 in the top of the first just 3 batters into the game. Shawn Reynolds scored following Austin Upshaw's double and Troy Herterick's ground out. Blessed Trinity responded with 1 in the rain delayed first inning and added 6 more in the bottom of the 2nd to take control of the game.
Josh Bryan, Conner Bennett and Ryan Bramlett all worked on the mound for the Wolves, who allowed 11 hits and walked 8 in just 4 innings of work.
The Wolves go back to work Thursday at home vs Westminster.
