The Buford Lady Wolves won the AA State Championship for the 3rd consecutive season with a 9-0 victory in 5 innings over the Region 7-AA Champions, Rockmart Lady Yellow Jackets. Rockmart defeated the Lady Wolves 2-0 in the first game of the state championship, forcing an "if" game, but it was all Lady Wolves in the finale as Buford jumped to a first inning lead and never looked back.
