The Buford Baseball Wolves return to the state playoffs this Friday, May 7, at Adairsville (20-5), the # 2 seed from region 7-AA.  After posting an 18-7 record, and a 3rd place finish in region 6-AA, the Wolves will look to continue their run in the state playoffs after missing the playoffs the past 3 seasons.  The Wolves last trip saw a run to the State Final 4 and a game 3 loss to Lovett, the eventual state champions.  The Wolves also advanced to the state Final 4 in 2005, losing to the eventual state champion Calhoun Yellowjackets in 2 close games. 

This will be the 3rd playoff matchup between Buford and Adairsville in the 2000's, with each school taking one series apiece.  In 2002, Buford lost a 3 game series at Adairsville, 2-3, 7-4 (11 innings), 5-14.  In 2004, Buford won 2 straight at Adairsville, 10-1 and 9-0.
